Pour yourself a cup of tea, pull up a chair and come sit with me a while, as I share a moment of connection with you.
In the early morning light, the low distant rumble. Brontide. A rumble that reminds me that despite how much I may move forward, she remains there. Just out yonder, beyond the blue skies. A murmuration of starlings rises and joins the flow of sound, up and down they go, circling, retracing their steps, as if etching lines into the sky. Inroads that they will continue to follow over and over again. “There is no food”, “no food” they say. Even when logic prevails, and a glance upwards shows that there is life beyond these roads. When a peek at the sky confirms there is nothing to worry about, they still bow their heads, and trace their familiar paths. As if caught in a wave, a rumble, of the brontide that they too cannot escape.
